SHILLONG, March 13: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has assured that the law and order situation in the state remains under control despite two recent arson incidents in Shillong.
Unidentified miscreants torched a government vehicle at Donkadiang, Nongmensong, while a petrol bomb attack partially damaged the vehicle of the caretaker of the NFR Officers’ Rest House at Laban. Addressing concerns over these incidents, Sangma stated, “Overall, the law and order situation is under control. There could be sporadic incidents, but those will be looked into. We will continue to monitor things and keep them under control.” Investigation to identify the culprits is on.
