Body found
An unidentified male body was discovered near NH-6 by the Headman of Ladrymbai, Datsimpein, East Jaintia Hills, around 7 am on March 23. The headman then swiftly informed the police. Subsequently, police personnel from Ladrymbai Outpost were deputed to investigate the matter. After inquiry, police declared that the deceased was found at Lumparis, Ladrymbai Datsimpein. All legal formalities were completed and the body was forwarded to Civil Hospital Khliehriat for post-mortem examination. The body was kept at the hospital morgue for identification and claiming. The cadaver of the man, appearing to be 55-60 years, was approximately 5.5 feet tall, fair-complexioned and has a medium-build.

Dak Adalat
A circle-level ‘Dak Adalat’ will be held in the office of the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong, at 11 am on Wednesday. The Dak Adalat will entertain grievances pertaining to Postal Services for its redressal. Written complaints that were received after the deadline of March 21 will be redressed through the usual channel.

Office-bearers
The Meghalaya Squash Rackets Association held its elections on Monday. Office-bearers elected for the term 2025-2028 include EP Kharbhih (president), Andrew Warjri (vice president), Aquarius Matthew (secretary), Manbha Warjri (assistant secretary), Varun Chaudhary (treasurer), and Krishna Pradhan and Pawan Sharma as executive members.
