Combine SHG, Ribhoi Office advance to final in inter-office T20

Shillong, March 28: The East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s Inter Office Cum Corporate League T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 has reached its final stage, with Combine SHG and Ribhoi Office Combine securing their spots in the title clash after winning their respective semi-final matches.
In the first semi-final, Combine SHG took on MLP Sohra in a closely contested match. Winning the toss, Combine SHG opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 158/5 in 20 overs. E Nathan A Diengdoh was the standout performer, scoring a well-crafted 74 off 58 balls, while Stevenson Syiem impressed with the ball for MLP Sohra, finishing with 2/22 in 4 overs.
In response, MLP Sohra struggled to keep up with the required run rate and managed 129/6 in 20 overs. Albinus Syiemiong fought hard with 49 off 36 balls, but Sunny Sten’s tight bowling spell of 2/10 in 4 overs ensured Combine SHG’s victory by 29 runs.
E Nathan A Diengdoh was named Player of the Match for his crucial knock.
The second semi-final saw PHE Sohra Division face Ribhoi Office Combine in another thrilling encounter. PHE Sohra Division, after winning the toss, opted to bat and put up a competitive total of 162/8 in 20 overs. Sandy Kharshandi led the charge with a fine 65 off 43 balls, while Wansuklang Shullai was the pick of the bowlers for Ribhoi Office Combine, taking 4/20 in 4 overs.
Chasing 163 for victory, Ribhoi Office Combine displayed an aggressive approach, reaching 163/5 in just 13.5 overs. Probeson Bey anchored the innings with a quickfire 44 off 23 balls, guiding his team to a 4-wicket win. Rahnam Nongspung was the most successful bowler for PHE Sohra Division, claiming 3/49 in 3 overs.
For his match-winning knock, Probeson Bey was awarded Player of the Match.
The much-awaited final will take place on March 31, 2025, at 10:30 AM, where Combine SHG will battle Ribhoi Office Combine for the championship title. With both teams in fine form, an exciting contest is on the cards.
With the stage set for an intense showdown, both Combine SHG and Ribhoi Office Combine will be eager to seize the ultimate glory in the Inter Office Cum Corporate League T20 Cricket Tournament 2025. Having showcased resilience and all-round performances in the semi-finals, the two teams will look to bring their A-game to the summit clash.
