Tura, March 30: Sq Feet, a team from the plain belt of West Garo Hills (WGH), lost to Bengal Super Kings in a thrilling match in the ongoing MSD International Champions Trophy, organized by the MSD Fan Club in Kokrajhar, Assam.
Interestingly, this is the third edition of the tournament, which features teams from various countries vying for the trophy and its rewards.
The tournament is played with light tennis balls and saw participation from 16 teams, including a few from Nepal and Bhutan.
Notably, this is the first time a team from Meghalaya has competed in the tournament.
Sq Feet batted first in the T20 match but were bowled out for 174 in 19.5 overs. In response, Bengal Super Kings chased down the target in 15.3 overs, losing eight wickets in the process, making for a riveting contest.
The match was held on March 28. The Meghalaya team played a total of two matches in the group stage.
