BSF apprehends Bangladeshi tout near int’l border

SHILLONG, April 7: The BSF apprehended a Bangladeshi tout near the Indo-Bangla border on Sunday.
Based on specific intelligence, BSF personnel of the 4th Battalion, deployed near the Dawki area, noticed suspicious activity close to the international border during surveillance. The individual was attempting to evade observation and was moving in a manner consistent with illegal cross-border activity. Acting promptly, the alert BSF troops apprehended the suspect.
During preliminary inquiry, the apprehended individual identified himself as Md. Ibrahim, a Bangladeshi national, and a resident of Sylhet district. He is involved in touting activities related to cross-border smuggling and facilitating illegal infiltration. The apprehended Bangladeshi national was handed over to Dawki Police Station for further action.
