Participants undertake a padyatra as part of the commemoration of the 135th Birth anniversary of the Architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr BR Ambedkar, in the city on Monday. Various activities were organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Shillong, in association with Metallica-Sargam Sports and Cultural Club on the premises of St. Nanak Secondary School in Pynthorbah. Chief guest of the occasion was Assistant Rangbah Shnong of Pynthorbah, RS Dohling. A total of 48 male and 19 female participants took part in the activities including singing of the national anthem, pledge-taking, reading of Preamble, English essay writing, chanting of slogans, cleaning drive, etc.
