WGHD Badminton Association elects new office-bearers

Tura, April 16: The West Garo Hills District Badminton Association (WGHDBA) has elected a fresh executive committee to oversee the promotion and development of badminton in the district over the next three years (2025–2028). The appointments were made during the association’s general meeting held at the Indoor Sports Hall in Hawakhana.
At the meeting, outgoing General Secretary Rikrak Ch. Momin was given special mention for his leadership and significant contribution to the association’s growth.
The newly appointed General Secretary, Walseng N. Sangma, extended his gratitude to the outgoing committee, assuring members of his commitment to continue the legacy and elevate the sport further in the district.
The newly elected office bearers of the West Garo Hills District Badminton Association are Sujeet P. Marak as President, Bomverce Marak as Working President, and Walseng N. Sangma as General Secretary.
Sobin K. Sangma and Derlowekid R. Marak have been appointed as Vice Presidents, while Walsall Momin will serve as Assistant General Secretary.
The roles of Joint Secretaries have been taken up by Andyberth G. Sangma, Brainygo K. Marak, and Mark Ch. Momin. Salrak Marak has been named Organizing Secretary, with Cassius D. Shira as Assistant Organizing Secretary.
Vikas Chongtham and Bongacheng Marak will serve as Publicity Secretary and Assistant Publicity Secretary respectively, and Bandi W. Momin will take on the role of Treasurer.
