Rakkam asks Tura schools to increase intake capacity

SHILLONG, April 17: Education Minister, Rakkam A Sangma, on Thursday asked school heads in Tura to increase intake capacities and introduce new streams in their institutions to accommodate the growing number of students seeking admission in Class XI.
During a meeting held at Circuit House, Tura, with principals of various higher secondary schools, the education minister reviewed the ongoing admission process for students who recently passed Class X. During the meeting, he also encouraged the schools to also consider starting morning shifts to ease the rush and ensure that every student secures admission in their preferred stream.
