Theft
Smailstar D Sangma lodged a complaint that on April 30 around 5 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05AE-5421), which was parked on the roadside, opposite to Directorate of Printing & Stationery, Shillong.
Sahidul Rahman lodged a complaint that on April 24, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-08H-7862) from Chandigre village in West Garo Hills.
Jacquish D Sangma and Rosemary D Sangma jointly lodged a complaint that on April 24 at about 10.30 pm, four persons, viz. Pabean D Sangma (29), Rajmijush D Sangma (21), Spenson T Sangma (31) and Luthas Ch Marak (32) stole two heads of cattle from Rangasora village, South Garo Hills, in one Bolero camper (ML-08K-4381). However, residents of the village apprehended Rajmijush D Sangma, Spenson T Sangma and Luthas Ch Marak and handed them over to police. Pabean D Sangma, meanwhile, managed to escape.

Break-in
Anckur Chokhani lodged a complaint that on April 29 night, unknown miscreant(s) entered into his showroom at Keating Road, Shillong and stole Rs. 3 lakh in cash.
Anuj Nandy lodged a complaint that on April 30, unknown miscreant(s) broke into his residence at Bivar Road, Shillong and stole several gold ornaments valued around Rs. 5.2 lakh and Rs. 30,000 in cash.
Nabendu Deb lodged a complaint that on April 29, unknown miscreant(s) broke into his residence at Harisava, Shillong, and stole one mobile phone, two gold ornaments valued approximately around Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 9,000 in cash.
Sarda Chettri lodged a complaint that on the intervening night of April 26 and 27, unknown miscreant(s) broke into her furniture shop at Fourth Furlong, Polo, and stole edible items valued around Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 3.5 lakh in cash.

Fraud
Mayudi Kontilal Faria of Mugdha (cloth merchant), Thane Road, Maharashtra, lodged a complaint that two persons, viz. K Tadavand and Y Yadav of M/s Krishna merchant, who are operating their business at Ladrymbai market, East Jaintia Hills, cheated his firm of Rs. 8,55,832 on the pretext of supplying textile goods.

Assault
A female resident of a locality in East Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on April 28 around 2 pm, her son-in-law, in an inebriated condition, physically assaulted his wife. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to PHC Pomlum.
On April 29 night, unidentified miscreants assaulted two persons, viz. Gamcheng Ch Marak (45) and Christer Ch Marak (39) at Hawakhana, Tura, West Garo Hills. As a result, the duo sustained injuries and were shifted to Tura Civil Hospital, where Christer Ch Marak got admitted.

Apprehension
On April 29, general public detained one suspected stolen motorcycle (AS-10G-0563) ridden by one Hanif Uddin and handed over to Police at Umkiang PP, East Jaintia Hills. During enquiry, it transpired that the motorcycle was stolen from Patharkandi, Karimganj, and was supposed to be delivered at Sookilo, EJH. Further, police also apprehended two of his accomplices, viz. Md. Fakrul Haque and Md. Anam Uddin, while they were travelling in one Alto car.
