Support
A delegation of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Meghalaya, has handed over a memorandum to East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah, extending necessary support to the district administration in case of a war with Pakistan. Kurbah has, meanwhile, appreciated the VHP for its voluntary support and expressed her willingness to act together in the future.
Admission seats
The West Khasi Hills District School Education Officer has informed that seats are available for admission into Class XI at Tirot Sing Memorial Government Higher Secondary School, Nongkhlaw, for science stream (day shift) and at Umthlong Nongthliew Government Secondary School, Nongthliew, for science stream (day shift) and arts stream (day shift).
Condolence
The members of Matri Sangha have mourned the demise of their committee advisor, Nibaran Chandra Das, who passed away on May 3. A condolence meeting was also held in his memory.
