Lenida Kyndiah of Dulong Jowai has been awarded PhD in Chemistry by North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) for her thesis ‘Formation of Carbon-Carbon and Carbon-Heteroatom Bonds Using Graphene and Metal Based Catalysts,’ which she completed under the supervision of Dr AK Pal, Department of Chemistry, NEHU, Shillong. She is the daughter of Shape Pasweth, Joint Director of Commerce and Industries, West Garo Hills, and Eldi Kyndiah Lenika. She completed her B.Sc from St. Athony’s College, Shillong, with first class and 7th position, and went on to pursue her M.Sc in Chemistry from NEHU, where she also passed with first class.
