City schools celebrate success in CBSE exams

SHILLONG, May 14: Army Public School Happy Valley, 58 GTC Shillong and BK Bajoria School have announced recording remarkable academic achievements in the 2025 CBSE Class X and XII examinations, the results of which were declared on Tuesday.
A statement from BK Bajoria School informed that in Class X, Saket Mishra topped with 94.4%, securing a perfect 100 in Mathematics and distinctions in all subjects. Close on his heels were Ansh Kumar Jha and Shemphang Kharkongor with 94.2%, with Ansh also scoring 100 in Mathematics.
Out of 89 students who appeared for Class X, 67 secured first division, many with multiple distinctions.
In Class XII, the school had 224 candidates, of whom 206 secured first division with numerous distinctions across streams.
Riddhi Baruah topped overall from the Arts stream with 96.2%, scoring 99% in Fashion Studies, 97% in History, and 96% in Political Science. She was followed by Cleric Jayden Wanniang (93.4%) and Smita Sairem (91.6%).
In Science stream, Sushmita Jha and Manav Deb led with 93.6%, followed by Josiah Blasiewdor (92.3%) and Jidan Khongla Topno (88.2%).
On the other hand, the Commerce stream was led by Anand Khandelwal with 90.6%, while Bhavya Jain, Diksha Sharma and Anamika Das scored 90.2% each.
Notable subject-wise scores include 97% in Physical Education by Sushmita Jha, Crystalleen Balabet Wanniang and Anand Khandelwal, and 97% in English by Abigail Faith Sohtun and Sa I Nanghunbha Kharlukhi.
Meanwhile, Army Public School Happy Valley, 58 GTC Shillong also reported a 100% pass rate in the Class X board exams.
Among the 31 students who appeared, Gauri, daughter of Hav. Amod Kumar, topped the school with an impressive 95.4%.
Khushi Sharma, daughter of Major Sandeep Lakhanpal, stood second with 93%, followed by Subhaditya Das, son of Sankar Das, with 89.8%.
Meanwhile, both schools have congratulated their students and faculty for their outstanding efforts.
