SHILLONG, May 15: The IT Park at New Shillong Township is now fully occupied, following the inauguration of the office of SIROBILT Software Services Pvt. Ltd. by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday.
SIROBILT Software Services Pvt. Ltd., a US-based technology solutions company, has officially established its presence at the IT Park in Mawdiangdiang, Shillong.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Sangma stated that SIROBILT’s entry into the region marks a significant milestone for the local IT ecosystem. The company plans to recruit up to 300 software professionals, creating valuable job opportunities for the youth and boosting employment in the tech sector.
SIROBILT is the fifth company to commence operations at the Shillong Tech Park.
Highlighting the growing presence of global and national IT firms in the state, Sangma said this trend is positioning Meghalaya as an emerging destination for technology-based businesses.
“With a pool of skilled human resources, the government is committed to supporting IT-enabled services that can open new avenues for the youth of the state,” he added.
Sangma also noted that the upcoming expansion of Shillong Tech Park (Phase II) will attract more IT companies and start-ups, along with the establishment of skill development hubs focused on emerging digital technologies such as AI, blockchain, and cloud computing.
“Meghalaya’s youth are its greatest asset. Through our investments in digital infrastructure, capacity building, and public-private partnerships, we are unlocking their potential and enabling them to be part of the global tech revolution,” the Chief Minister added.
