A crowd assembles at Khyndai Lad as a dispute erupts between two groups of hawkers on Tuesday. One group, which regularly sells at Police Bazar and is associated with the Meghalaya Greater Shillong Progressive Hawkers and Street Vendors’ Association, confronted another group of fruit hawkers, who were resting there after a long day of walking and selling. The regular hawkers accused the fruit hawkers of trying to occupy their space, but after an explanation, the situation calmed down, and the fruit hawkers reluctantly left the area.
