Two-wheelers collide at Lad Umroi; two injured

NONGPOH, June 2: Two individuals sustained injuries following a collision between a scooty and a scooter at Lad Umroi on Sunday around 5:05 PM.
According to the police, the incident occurred when a scooty bearing registration number ML05AE2887, reportedly being driven at high speed by one Jerry Shylla, rammed into the rear of a scooter (ML05C2331) ridden by Thymmaibor Rapsang.
It was also informed that another person, who was riding pillion with Jerry Shylla, fled the scene immediately after the crash. The two injured riders were moved to the roadside by bystanders before police arrived at the scene. They were later transported to Nongpoh Civil Hospital in an ambulance for treatment, accompanied by their relatives.
Police also said that the scooter (ML05C2331) that remained at the scene has been towed to Umiam Police Station for safe custody and further necessary action.
