Chopper service between Shillong, Guwahati, Tura resumes

SHILLONG, June 4: The Meghalaya Helicopter Service has resumed operations on the Guwahati, Shillong, and Tura sectors from June 2, according to a statement issued by the Managing Director of the Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC).
The fare for the service between Guwahati, Shillong, and Tura has been fixed at Rs 2,200 per head.
As per the MTC schedule, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, a helicopter will depart from Guwahati to Shillong at 8:30 am and return from Shillong to Guwahati at 9:10 am. Another flight from Guwahati to Tura will depart at 9:30 am, and the return flight from Tura to Guwahati will take off at 10:45 am. Later in the day, a chopper will again depart from Guwahati to Shillong at 12:00 noon and return from Shillong to Guwahati at 12:40 pm.
Meanwhile, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the service will operate between Guwahati and Shillong with departures from Guwahati at 9:30 am and returns from Shillong at 10:10 am. Another round will be conducted with a Guwahati departure at 12:00 noon and a Shillong return at 12:40 pm.
For passengers travelling between Shillong and Tura via Guwahati, the fare is Rs 3,000 per head, inclusive of GST, the MTC Managing Director added.
