Shillong, June 13: The Meghalaya Veteran Table Tennis Association (MVTTA) is all set to organise the 7th edition of its annual flagship event, the Meghalaya Masters Table Tennis Team Championships, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Polo Stadium Indoor Hall in Shillong.
The tournament, a tradition held to coincide with World Environment Day, brings together former table tennis players—fondly referred to as “Masters”—from across various districts of the state.This year’s event will feature eight uniquely themed teams that reflect environmental messages, including Go Green, Stay Fit, Save Fuel, Swachh Bharat, Save Trees, Save Water, Save Earth, and Protect Nature.
The competition celebrates both sporting spirit and environmental awareness, blending fitness with social responsibility.
The prize distribution ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 PM on the same day, with Nababrata Bhattacharjee gracing the occasion as the chief guest, along with a gathering of dignitaries and sports enthusiasts.
The event promises to be more than just a sporting contest—it stands as a celebration of lifelong passion, camaraderie, and the enduring commitment of Meghalaya’s veteran athletes to champion meaningful causes.
