Dak Adalat
A divisional-level Dak Adalat will be held at the Office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division, Shillong, on June 27 from 11:30 am onwards. According to a statement here, the Dak Adalat will entertain grievances pertaining to postal services for their redressal. “Written complaints should be sent through ordinary Post or Speed Post with the subject ‘Dak Adalat’ superscribed on the cover and addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division, Shillong-793001. The complaints should contain full details like complete address and registration receipt number. For complaints about saving schemes and Postal Life Insurance, the account number, policy number and full address of the depositor or insurer should be given,” the statement said. It was also informed that the written complaints should reach the Office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices on or before June 26.

Road closure
The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Pynursla, has informed that the periodic closure of the road stretch from Laitlyngkot to Lyngkyrdem (Chainage Kms 24+00 – 37+00) will continue on an everyday basis from June 16 to 20 between 8 am and 11 am, and 1 pm and 4 pm. “All commuters are requested to plan their travel accordingly during the mentioned closure period and any convenience caused is deeply regretted,” a statement here said.

Programme
A training programme for the executive course on textile/handloom will be organised at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Umsawli, Shillong. According to a statement, the inaugural programme will be held at 9:15 am on June 16.
