Scooter set ablaze
Lahinath N Sangma and Jecky B Marak jointly lodged a complaint that on June 23, around 10 am, miscreant(s) set ablaze a scooter (ML-07B-7364) belonging to Lahinath N Sangma and partially damaged another scooter (ML-07-2603) belonging to Jecky B Marak at Rongbinggre area of East Garo Hills.

Two-wheelers stolen
Aman Chettri lodged a complaint that on the night of June 25, miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle from his residence at Kench’s Trace, Shillong.
Ferdinand Wahlang lodged a complaint that on June 25, circa 1 am, miscreant(s) stole his scooter (ML-05AC-7816).

Locals obstruct BSF men
Coy Commander, E-Coy, 4th Battalion, BSF, BOP Dawki in West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on the evening of June 23 and 24, unidentified person(s) from Bakur village, West Jaintia Hills, shouted and obstructed BSF personnel from performing their duties, while also preventing them from entering the village market area and even attempting to snatch the mobile phone of one of the BSF personnel, while taking a video recording of the incident.

Illegal coal dumped
A complaint was lodged that on June 24, police patrolling duty party detected five heaps of suspected illegal coal dumped in an open area in Sohkymphor village, East Jaintia Hills, reportedly without authorisation/valid documents. Later, the same was seized and shifted to Kongong for safe custody.

Cattle theft
Wanfreeding Bina lodged a complaint that in the early morning of June 25, miscreant(s) stole three heads of cattle form his cowshed at Jyntah village in East Khasi Hills.

Duped
Andy Laloo of Lawsohtun Block-V, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on June 19 evening, an unidentified person cheated him of Rs 57,500 online, on the pretext of selling his scooter to the complainant.

Threatened
Treiborlang Chyne lodged a complaint that on June 25, around 3.30 am, one person of the same village, in an inebriated condition, went to his residence at Lumshyiap Langkyrding-A, Shillong and threatened his son viz., Shri Aiborlang with dire consequences.

WhatsApp account hacked
A female resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on June 25, circa 10 pm, miscreant(s) hacked her mobile number, WhatsApp account and changed her WhatsApp profile to City Union Bank Ltd.

Break-in
Nicesillin Wahlang lodged a complaint that on June 23, around 11.30 am, one Globis Lyngdoh Nonglait broke into her residence at Mawshut village in Eastern West Khasi Hills and stole cash worth around Rs 10,000.

Parcels returned
The Sub Postmaster of Nongpoh Post Office in Ri-Bhoi lodged a complaint that on May 27, two speed post parcels were booked from Nongpoh Post Office. However on June 10, the aforementioned parcels were returned to the post office due to refusal/incomplete address/invalid phone number. The complainant suspected the parcels of containing psychotropic/contraband substances.
