Shillong, June 30: The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, has announced the commencement of the State Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025, scheduled to be held from July 1 to July 5, 2025.
The prestigious tournament will feature teams in three categories — Under-15 Boys, Under-17 Boys, and Under-17 Girls — with matches to be played across two venues: SSA First Ground, Mawlai Madan Heh, and SAI, STC Ground, NEHU Campus.
While there will be no official opening ceremony, the tournament will get underway with the first round of elimination matches, which will be kicked off in the presence of officers and officials from the Sports Department.
The Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament, known for promoting grassroots football talent across the country, remains a key event in Meghalaya’s sports calendar and continues to serve as a vital platform for young footballers aiming to represent the state and the nation.
