Blood donation camp in city draws 75 volunteers

SHILLONG, July 5: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), NEIAH Unit, in collaboration with Kyrmen Foundation, the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH) and the NEHU Students’ Union (NEHUSU), organised a voluntary blood donation camp at the NEIAH campus on July 2.
The initiative aimed to support those in urgent need of blood during critical medical situations.
According to KSU-NEIAH Unit president, K. Nongkynrih, a total of 75 volunteers came forward to donate blood as a gesture of compassion and solidarity.
On the other hand, Kyrmen Foundation president Cornellia Dkhar and secretary Simi Kongthiang expressed gratitude to NEIAH, KSU-NEIAH Unit and NEHUSU for their cooperation. The organising bodies also extended their gratitude to the young donors for their willing participation in the humanitarian effort.
On the occasion, donors were presented with certificates and tokens of appreciation.
