Lions Club installs new board

SHILLONG, July 13: The Lions Club of Shillong successfully held its annual installation ceremony for the Board of Directors for the Lionistic Year 2025-26 at the Taj Vivanta on Saturday.
In a ceremony attended by members, dignitaries, and invited guests, Arpit Agarwala was formally installed as the new president of the Lions Club of Shillong for the year 2025-26.
Addressing the gathering after taking the oath of office, president Arpit Agarwala expressed gratitude to the members for their trust and pledged to uphold the values and service spirit of Lions Clubs International. He shared his vision for the coming year, focusing on impactful community service projects, membership growth, and greater collaboration among local service organisations.
Other members of the new Board of Directors were also inducted during the ceremony. The event featured speeches by senior Lions, presentations of the club’s achievements over the past year, and an outline of the service plans for the year ahead.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks and a fellowship dinner, marking the start of what promises to be another dedicated year of service to the community.
The Club reaffirmed its commitment to serving the community through humanitarian projects in areas such as health, education, environmental conservation, etc.
