MFA announces squad for Jr boys National Football C’ship

Shillong, July 16: The Meghalaya Football Association has finalised its squad that will represent the state at the Junior Boys’ National Football Championship 2025 (Tier 1) for the Dr BC Roy Trophy.
The tournament will be held in Amritsar. Meghalaya have been drawn in Group B with defending champions West Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and will be Kerala first on July 21.
The 20 youngsters selected are full of promise and shown themselves to be up for the challenge, with They will be led by the experienced youth coach Seibor Sana.
Present at a small send-off for Team Meghalaya on Wednesday were MFA President Hamlet Dohling, Vice-President Cliff Nongrum and Executive Member Freddy Kharpran. The senior members of the association wished the players and support staff all the very best and encouraged them to strive for success as they carry Meghalaya’s hopes on their shoulders.
Meghalaya were unable to progress out of the group stage last year, finishing third in Group C.
