Over 700 sign up for AMKA’s 31st State Inter School Karate Tourney

Shillong, July 20: More than 700 karatekas from 101 schools have registered to enter the 31st State Level Inter School Karate Tournament 2025, the organisers have informed.
The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) is organising the three-day event from 24 to 26 July at the Multipurpose Indoor Hall, SAI, NEHU, Shillong.
St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School were last year’s boys champions, while Sacred Heart Girls Higher Secondary School were the girls champions.
731 karatekas have registered for this year’s tournament, an increase on the 609 from last year, which is a new record and a show of enthusiasm for the martial art form. The championship is being supported by Meghalaya’s Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
