WGH: Three drug peddlers in police net

TURA, July 21: In another crackdown against the drug menace, police in West Garo Hills on Sunday morning arrested 3 suspected drug peddlers from a rented house in Phulbari of the same district.
According to police, the incident took place at around 6:20 am when the accused were resting inside the rented house.
The district ANTF team conducted a raid at the house where they recovered contraband suspected to be heroin of about 95.78 grams along with Rs 1.53 lakh in cash from their possession. The seizure also included two iPhone handsets, two empty vials, medicines, a keypad phone and documents.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rochan Ali (24), Rofikul Rahman (31) and Abhijit Rabha (24), all from Paltan Bazar area under Kamrup district of Assam. All three of them have been booked under NDPS Act.
