Foundation Day
Lady Keane College Shillong will celebrate its 90th Foundation Day (Granite Jubilee) on July 25 starting with a flag hoisting ceremony at 10 am followed by a formal session at 12 noon in the college auditorium. South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai will be the chief guest of the occasion.

Cultural prog
Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, will organise the 15th Inter Shillong Cultural Event next month. On August 3, Rabindra Sangeet and Folk Song competition will be held besides Art, Essay, Fun Games and Dance on Tagore Song Competition on August 17, Dance on Folk Song and Recitation in English on August 24 and Recitation in Bengali and Dance on Hindi Song Competition on August 31. Forms are available at Jyoti Medical Hall, Laban, Pappu Medical Laban, Amrita Medicals Jail Road, Hotel Vishal Last Stop, Papa Enterprise Keating Road.

Seminar
On the occasion of 10th remembrance day of the Missile Man of India, the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Foundation will organise a seminar, a poet’s meet on life and contribution of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award Ceremony-cum-prize distribution ceremony of the inter school competition at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong, from 2:30 pm on July 27. Commissioner and Secretary BDR Tiwari will serve as the chief guest while Director of Arts and Culture, NE Zone, Munish Singh will be the guest of honour.
