Prohibition
In view of over-loaded trucks causing spillage of mud and stones on roads across the district, which in turn leads to muddy and dusty roads that pose grave danger to pedestrians and vehicles, District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills Rosetta Mary Kurbah has prohibited spillage of mud and stones on roads across Shillong as well as the rest of the district. The district magistrate has directed all trucks to cover the loaded materials with tarpaulin to avoid spillage and ensure mud is removed from the wheels when exiting the work site. Any violation of the said order will attract penal provisions under Section 223 of the BNS and any other Section as deemed fit and appropriate.
Seminar
The Research Committee, IQAC of the Shillong Law College, will organise a one-day local seminar on ‘Dissemination of Research Findings under the Chief Minister’s Research Grant Project’ at the college from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm on Thursday.
