SHILLONG, July 29: Cabinet Minister and BJP MLA, AL Hek has batted for the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act, saying mechanisms like the MRSSA can go a long way in controlling influx into the state.
“MRSSA is a good mechanism and it can control influx,” Hek said while adding that the Act will be of great benefit for the safety of the locals as well as tourists coming to Meghalaya.
While the Centre has remained mum over the demand for ILP in the state, the state government now wants to implement the MRSSA even as pressure groups have, time and again, castigated the MDA Government for its failure to implement the MRSSA.
