India test fires tactical missile Pralay
NEW DELHI, July 29: India has successfully test-fired the newly-developed tactical missile Pralay, which is capable of carrying conventional warheads. The missile was test-fired from the APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha on Monday and Tuesday, the defence ministry said.Pralay is a short-range surface-to-surface missile with a payload capacity of 500-1,000 kg.The missile, capable of carrying conventional warheads, has a range of 150 to 500 km. It has been developed by the DRDO.The missile, equipped with modern technologies, will give further technological boost to the armed forces against threats, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said lauding the DRDO, the armed forces and the concerned industry partners involved in the project. CA kills self using helium gas in Delhi hotel
NEW DELHI, July 29: A 25-year-old chartered accountant killed himself by inhaling gas at a hotel in Delhi’s Bengali Market area.According to a note he left behind, Dheeraj Kansal was alone since his father died in 2003. After his father’s death, his mother married someone else, and he had no siblings.Kansal, also wrote about his suicide on social media. The suicide note, written in English, was recovered from his left pocket.“I am writing a suicide note in case if you didn’t see my post on social media in case someone deletes my post. I am going away, and no one should be held responsible for this,”he wrote.Police broke open the door, and found a helium gas cylinder connected to three plastic pipes.“The saddest part of my life was my birth; death is the most beautiful part of my life. If you’re reading this, I’m already gone. I wasn’t deeply connected to anyone, nor was anyone to me.There’s no reason, no regret, and no complaint,” the note read.(PTI)
