WJDBA’s 16th District Open Badminton C’ship concludes

JOWAI, August 1: The 16th District Open Badminton Championship, which was organised by the West Jaintia District Badminton Association (WJDBA), concluded on Friday at the Seiñraij Indoor Hall, Tpep-Pale, Jowai.
Mebanker Chullai beat Deilang Wa-oo Nongpluh to claim the Men’s Singles, while Josefinadala Pasah claimed the Women’s Singles title by defeating Nihaka Lamare.
In the under-19 Boy Singles final, Leminelson Suchiang emerged victorious against Aebhami Bareh. Meanwhile, Dathrang-I Langstang beat Wailadmiki S. Pasah to bag the under-15 Boys Singles title.
In under-15 Boys Doubles, Dathrang Langstang and Skhembok Iakai defeated Deimonmi Manar and Wailadmiki Pasah.
In the Women’s Doubles, Dakani Toi and Josefinadala defeated Alvinia Kma and Pretty Marry Manar.
Hrisami Passah and Deilangwa-o Nongpluh triumphed over Da-u-ru Laloo and Ram Najiar to win the Men’s Doubles. Also, Josefinadala Pasah and Mebankerlang Chullai beat Wakani Toi and Hrisami Passah to win the Mixed Doubles.
