Awareness prog on central scheme in city

SHILLONG, Aug 2: The Department of Labour, Employment and Skill Development, in association with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Shillong, organised an awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at the Main Conference Hall, Secretariat, Shillong.
According to a statement here, the programme was chaired by Principal Secretary to Department of Labour, Employment and Skill Development, C Songate.
During the programme, K. Hungyo, Regional PF Commissioner, EPFO Shillong, presented an overview of the scheme, followed by a detailed presentation by the EPFO team. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session on the scheme’s features and provisions.
Representatives from leading organisations such as NEEPCO, MCAB, Ranger Security, Polo Tower Group, Nazareth Hospital and Mebaai Security and Service participated, alongside officers from state departments including the Directorate of Labour, Employment and Craftsmen Training, and ESIC.
It may be mentioned that the Principal Secretary also held a meeting at PIB Shillong with officials from the department to further disseminate information on the scheme.
