Ex-JD(S) MP given life sentence in rape case

Bengaluru, Aug 2: Former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna was sentenced to imprisonment for the remainder of his life by a Special Court here on Saturday, a day after he was convicted in one of the four sexual abuse and rape cases against him.
The court imposed a total fine of Rs 11.50 lakh on the accused, directing that Rs 11.25 lakh from this be paid to the victim, a domestic help of the family of the accused. (PTI)
