Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla congratulated her longtime friend and co-star Shah Rukh Khan on winning the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in Jawan. Taking to Instagram, Juhi shared a throwback picture dancing with SRK and expressed her joy, calling the win “well deserved” and long overdue. She praised SRK’s dedication to his craft and also extended congratulations to his team, including Gauri Khan and Red Chillies Entertainment.
This marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first National Award in his 33-year career, making him the first among the Khans to receive the Best Actor honor. He shared the award with Vikrant Massey, who was recognized for his performance in the critically acclaimed film 12th Fail.
Following the announcement, SRK appeared in a video message with an injured arm, expressing gratitude to the jury, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the filmmakers who trusted him. He gave special thanks to director Atlee and the team behind Jawan, as well as Raju Hirani and other collaborators from 2023.
Juhi and SRK’s on-screen pairing has been iconic in Hindi cinema, with hits like Darr, Duplicate, and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. SRK is also renowned for his legendary pairing with actress Kajol. (IANS)
