SHILLONG, Aug 5: The organisers in close coordination with the official agency representing Bruno Mars, have confirmed that viral reports claiming the global pop sensation will perform in India as part of a “Cosmic Vibe India Tour” are completely fake.
According to the organisers, the false information is part of a scam that has duped several fans into parting with their hard-earned money by exploiting their admiration for the artist. “We urge all fans of Bruno Mars to rely only on verified social media handles and legitimate tour platforms for any concert announcements,” the organisers said, dismissing claims of performances in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Guwahati as entirely baseless.
As of now, there is no indication of any upcoming tour by Bruno Mars in India. Meanwhile, Instagram page SR Entertainment Event—which first made the claim—remains under scrutiny. Fans have been strongly warned not to fall for any so-called “early bird” ticket sales or “pre-booking” links.
It may be recalled that excitement among Indian music lovers surged recently after SR Entertainment Event posted on Instagram that Bruno Mars would soon perform in four major cities as part of a large-scale India tour.
The now-viral post promised international-level production and high-energy performances, but lacked any official endorsement from the artist or his team.
Fact-checkers and vigilant content creators have since debunked the claim, confirming it as a scam targeting emotional and unsuspecting fans.
One of the earliest warnings came from the Instagram page Creative Minds India, known for exposing online misinformation.
In a post, they wrote: “Please beware of the news circulating about a Bruno Mars India Tour — it is absolutely FAKE. The page even blocked us after we exposed them for running a scam. Don’t fall for this well-crafted trap. Stay sharp, stay safe (sic).”
The post included screenshots of the original false claims, along with evidence showing that no reputable source or international ticketing platform had listed any such tour.
