SHILLONG, Aug 7: Celebrating the academic achievements of over 400 graduating students from the Commerce and Arts streams, Shillong Commerce College on Thursday hosted its 2nd Convocation Ceremony.
According to a statement here, the event was attended by Prof. Henry Lamin, former Pro-Vice Chancellor of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), who currently serves as the president of the College’s Managing Committee.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Prof. Lamin encouraged the graduates to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.
This year, the college also celebrated the achievements of two students who secured positions in the university merit list, namely Maryshwaki Suchiang of the Khasi Department (7th position) and Bikash Roy from the Commerce Department (10th position).
