Seven killed as wall collapses

NEW DELHI, Aug 9: Seven people were killed when a wall collapsed near Mohan Baba Mandir in Jaitpur amid heavy rains in the national capital.While the Fire Service earlier claimed that eight people had died in the incident, police later stated that seven victims were confirmed dead and one injured person was undergoing treatment.A call regarding the wall collapse at 9:16 a.m. Three fire tenders, along with police teams, rushed to the spot. Of the eight, seven – including three men, two women, and two minor girls – succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The officer added that the wall was broken through to rescue those trapped. Four of family killed as two bikes collide

MANDLA, (MP) Aug 9: Four persons were killed and two others injured on Saturday when a couple of speeding motorcycles collided in Mandla district of MP.A motorcycle with five members of a family going from Seoni to Mandla rammed into another two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction. Rajendra Kushram (38), his sons Sohil (10) and Ravindra (7) and his brother-in-law Shivprasad Maravi (27) died. Rajendra’s wife, Shakun Kushram (32) and one Vivek Kumar Kakodia (28) were injured,” the SP said.A case has been registered. (PTI)
