SHILLONG, Aug 27: Salantini Janera, the only Garo daily of Meghalaya, and the sister publication of The Shillong Times, will celebrate its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of dedicated service since its inception in the year 2000, on Saturday at Hotel Polo Orchid, Tura, beginning 12 noon.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has consented to be the chief guest of the celebration. Joining as guests of honour will be Leader of the Opposition, Dr Mukul M Sangma, and Tura MP Saleng A Sangma.
The celebration will also feature Shobha Chaudhuri, the paper’s Publisher, and Warmond Rongkrore, Senior Sub-Editor, as key contributors to the event.
This milestone event promises to honour the legacy and contributions of Salantini Janera to the Garo community and beyond.
