Rs 47,482 crore wiped off HDFC Bank’s value this week

NEW DELHI, Aug 31: HDFC Bank’s market valuation dropped by Rs 47,482 crore this week to RS 14.60 lakh crore, making it one of the biggest losers among India’s top 10 most-valued companies.
Overall, eight of the top 10 firms lost a combined Rs 2.24 lakh crore in market capitalisation as the Sensex declined 1.84% (1,497 points).
ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, LIC, SBI, Bajaj Finance, and Infosys also saw major losses. Only TCS and HUL gained, adding Rs 11,125 crore and Rs 7,319 crore respectively.
Analysts noted that while market sentiment remains cautious, key support levels are intact.
Nifty may rebound from the 24,337–24,267 zone toward 24,700–24,850.
Bank Nifty ended at 53,655 and appears oversold, with RSI at 27.45. A move above 54,000 could push it toward 54,900, analysts said. (IANS)
