RSS general secy Hosabale admitted to AIIMS
NEW DELHI, Sep 8: RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale was admitted to AIIMS Jodhpur on Monday after he suddenly fell ill due to high blood pressure, doctors in the hospital said.His condition is better and he has been kept under observation, according to the doctor at AIIMS Jodhpur.“Hosabale’s health suddenly deteriorated in the afternoon, following which he was immediately rushed to AIIMS where he was diagnosed with high BP,” they said.Hosabale is now fine and “completely healthy”, RSS national publicity and media department head Sunil Ambekar informed in a post on X .“He had gone to a medical facility in Jodhpur in the afternoon today as a precautionary measure after feeling slightly uncomfortable. The doctors have declared him completely healthy,” he said. (PTI)
On duty traffic cop injured after being hit by car in Delhi
NEW DELHI, Sep 8: A traffic policeman was injured after being hit by a car in sourthwest Delhi’s Najafgarh area while he was on duty.The incident took place on Sunday near Sai Baba Mandir in Najafgarh around 6.55 pm when ASI Umed Singh, posted at Najafgarh traffic circle.The SUV driver stepped out of the vehicle, held him by the collar, abused him and threatened that he would run him over if he did not move aside.“In the scuffle, the buttons of my uniform were torn. When the accused got back into the SUV, he drove the vehicle towards me and hit me,” Singh told the police in his complaint.The ASI was taken to hospital where he is undergoing treatment. (PTI)
4 suicides from bridges in 4 days in UP
SHAHJAHANPUR, Sep 8:Two minor girls were among the four people who allegedly ended their lives by jumping off bridges into rivers in UP’s Shahjahanpur district in the past four days.Police said a 60-year-old man reached the Lodipur bridge over the Khannaut river on a motorcycle, parked it on the bridge, and jumped into the river flowing above the danger mark.The man left his wife’s mobile number inscribed on the motorcycle. When the police arrived and dialled the number, the man was identified as Aditya Saxena, a local. According to police, in a similar incident on Friday evening, two cousins — Mohini (15) and Poonam (14) from Abdullahganj — jumped off the Garra river bridge after returning from shopping. They remain untraced.On Saturday night, Puttu Lal (55) allegedly jumped from the railing of the Pakka bridge into the Khannaut river. His body was recovered the next day, officials said. (PTI)
