Meghalaya names squad for BCCI U-19 men’s tournaments

Shillong, Sep 17: The Meghalaya Cricket Association has revealed the names in its U-19 men’s squads that will represent the state at the BCCI’s Vinoo Mankad Trophy and Cooch Behar Trophy in 2025-26.
The MCA’s junior men’s selection committee arrived at the list of the players following several rounds of selection matches and consideration of past performances.
Heiyoomiki Ryngkhlem will captain the side and Gaurav Narleng will be his deputy. They team will be coached by Synrapsing Riahtam.
The Vinoo Mankad Trophy, a one day cricket tournament, will begin first. Meghalaya are in the plate group with other North East states – Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Sikkim. The tournament will begin on 9 October and the matches will all take place in Chandigarh. The top two teams from the round robin stage will progress to the final. Meghalaya’s preparatory camp for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy will start on 24 September and conclude on 5 October and be held at Jagiroad, Assam.
All 15 selected players plus the five standbys and support staff will report at Polo Ground, Shillong, on 23 September and proceed together to Jagiroad. The team will then depart for Chandigarh on 6 October.

Support staff: Synrapsing Riahtam (Head Coach), Claystone C Marak (Assistant Coach), Hamboy Langbang (Physio), Prewindson Sangma (Manager), Trainer to be decided.
