Zubee Garg’s mortal remains being brought to Guwahati on Saturday

Guwahati, Sept 19: Mortal remains of Zubeen Garg are being brought from Singapore to Guwahati tomorrow afternoon in an air ambulance at the initiative of Assam government, according to latest development here even as his wife Garima Garg has cancelled her plan to rush to Singapore.
Assam government is holding an emergency high-level meeting at 7 pm to decide on its plan to pay the last respect to Zubeen Garg as well as to deal with the situation in the state following the death of the colossal singer with a huge fan following.
The singer was known for his relentless efforts to promote younger generations of musicians and singers in the state. These singers who worship Zubeen Garg as a mentor and a father figure, are groping for words to condole the death of Zubeen Garg.
The hugely gifted singer who used to take pride in his Assamese nationality, has promoted Assamese Vaishnavite classical music ‘Borgeet’ and songs of all ethnic communities in the state.
The hardworking singer during his prime days once recorded 36 songs in a single night such was his passion for music.
