Shillong, Sep 22: NPP MLA from Umsning Celestine Lyngdoh and NPP MLA from Mylliem Ronnie V. Lyngdoh have been appointed as Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip of the Government in the State Legislative Assembly.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Commissioner & Secretary, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, on Monday.
Both the MLAs from Umsning and Mylliem are among four former Congress MLAs who had joined the NPP.
Ronnie was the last among the four MLAs to join the NPP, reducing the Congress to zero in the Assembly.
