SHILLONG, Sep 22: The Meghalaya government on Monday said it would wait for the judgment of the Supreme Court on the allegations of forest land grabbing by the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya.
Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui refused to comment on the matter, saying the government has to wait for SC judgment on the matter.
The state government has denied any large-scale forest land grabbing by USTM, and also dismissed allegations by Assam that such land-grabbing, among other things, has “caused” massive flooding in Guwahati city.
