India extends airspace closure for Pakistan aircrafts
NEW DELHI, Sep 23: India has extended the closure of its airspace for Pakistan civilian and military planes till October 24.The neighbouring country has also closed its airspace for Indian aircraft till October 24. Both countries have shut their respective airspace for each other’s planes since April in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.India and Pakistan have issued separate Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) for extending the airspace closures.Indian airspace will not be available for Pakistan-registered aircraft and aircraft operated/owned or leased by Pakistan airlines/ operators, including military flights, according to the NOTAM issued on September 23.The airspace will remain closed till 2359 hours (UTC) on October 23, which translates to 0530 hours (IST) on October 24.Following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people on April 22, India closed its airspace for planes operated, owned or leased by Pakistan airlines and operators, including military flights. Four children of a family drown while bathing in pond in Bihar
PATNA, Sep 23: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded on Tuesday in Fursatpur Chanwar area of Saran district, where four children from an extended family drowned while bathing in a pond.The victims have been identified as Ashish Kumar (14), Munna Kumar (11), Ankush Kumar (11) and Krishna alias Kariman Kumar (13)All four were closely related cousins.Family members said the children had gone to the pond on Tuesday afternoon to bathe and accidentally strayed into a deeper section of water.One after another, they slipped beneath the surface and could not be saved.As news spread, panic and chaos gripped the village. Grieving relatives fainted repeatedly, and villagers wept helplessly.After several hours of intense search, the divers recovered all four bodies. (IANS)
3 held for raping, murdering woman
HYDERABAD, Sep 23: Three persons were arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a 32-year-old woman at Kismathpur.They were arrested on September 22 for kidnap, gangrape, sexual assault, and murder of the woman on September 14 under a bridge, police said. On September 16, some local residents alerted the police after noticing the woman’s body near bushes. The victim, missing for three days, was spotted intoxicated near a pillar on September 14 by a 33-year-old man, who lured her into an auto-rickshaw, bought her beer and biryani, and sexually assaulted.Later, two auto-rickshaw drivers, aged 25 and 26, coerced her into their three-wheeler where they raped her, and when she resisted, one of them fatally assaulted her with sticks. They fled, leaving her body in the bushes, the release said. (PTI)
