Motorcycle stolen

Gyana Shankar Chakma lodged a complaint stating that on October 2 around 1:30 am, miscreants stole his motorcycle (AS-01EY-1383) from Lumjingsuk, Shillong.

House break-in

Rubina Phawa lodged a complaint stating that on the night of September 29, 2025, miscreants broke into her residence at Lawsohtun, Block-V, and stole two mobile phones, Rs 40,000 in cash, and other valuables.

Burglary

Rakesh Neelam reported that between September 30 and October 2, 2025, miscreants broke into an under-renovation quarter at AG Quarters, Motinagar, Shillong, and stole several bathroom fittings valued at approximately Rs 70,000.

4 B’deshi nationals held

On October 3 around 5:30 am, a vehicle (ML-04C-6694) evaded a police checkpoint at Mawryngkneng Bypass Junction (EKH) and sped away. Police pursued the vehicle, which was later found abandoned at Thangshalai Bypass Road (EKH). The driver and one occupant fled, leaving behind four suspected Bangladeshi nationals —Yaming Shake (26), Mabla Shake (25), and two minor boys.

Cattle theft

The I/C Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Officer, Pynursla C&RD Block (EKH), lodged a complaint stating that on October 3 around 12:30 am, miscreants stole nine heads of cattle from the SPCA shelter at Wahmawria in East Khasi Hills. Later, two of the stolen cattle were recovered from a nearby area.
