Dibya Kumari shines for M’laya at natl yoga c’ship

SHILLONG, Oct 7: The Meghalaya Yogasana team made their presence felt at the 6th Junior and Senior C National Yogasana Sports Championship 2025–26 held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, with young athlete Dibya Kumari delivering an impressive all-round performance across multiple categories.
Representing Meghalaya, Dibya showcased remarkable composure and technical finesse throughout the competition. In the Traditional Yogasana category, she secured 6th place in the semi-final before improving her position to 4th in the final. She continued her fine form in the Artistic Yogasana Single event, finishing 7th in the semi-final and 6th in the final.
Her most commanding display came in the Supine Individual category, where she topped the semi-final with a 1st-place finish, eventually ending 6th in the final. Dibya also impressed in the Twisting Body Individual segment, clinching 2nd place in the semi-final.
With a total score of 64.25 points, Dibya Kumari not only demonstrated her versatility and poise but also brought immense pride to Meghalaya, reflecting the state’s growing talent and enthusiasm in the discipline of Yogasana. Her performance stands as a testament to her hard work, discipline, and unwavering determination, as well as the continued progress of Meghalaya’s athletes on the national stage.
