JOWAI, Oct 8: Members of HITO, Jowai Circle, have expressed grief over the untimely and tragic death of a Class XI student from North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai.
The organisation stated that the heartbreaking incident has left the entire community in shock and pain. “It is deeply distressing to witness such a tragedy, especially involving a young student whose future was full of promise,” they said, adding that the matter deserves the utmost seriousness and attention from the concerned authorities.
The organisation has also earnestly appealed to the West Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police to conduct a thorough, fair and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the student’s death, so that the truth may be revealed and justice served to the grieving family.
At the same time, the organisation urged the concerned departments to take stronger preventive measures to protect the lives and safety of young people.
