NH-6 repair work to be finished by Nov 15: NHAI

SHILLONG, Oct 9: The ongoing repair of the Jowai-Ratacherra section of NH-6 is likely to be completed by November 15, bringing much needed respite for thousands of commuters on this arterial highway.
NHAI officials on Thursday informed that 95 percent of the 102-km stretch of the highway has been repaired.
The High Court of Meghalaya is monitoring the repair work.
The NHAI official further stated that they are working to resolve the perennial problem of landslides in and around Sonapur area.
A contractor has been roped in to start the mobilisation work which includes construction of culverts and slope stability to reduce damages from landslides.
