Jowai Oct 12: The football team from Khliehmyntang Ialong emerged as the champions of the 8th Debo Shullai Memorial Trophy 2nd Division Football 2025, organized by the West Jaiñtia District Sports Association (WJDSA).
The final match was held on Saturday, October 11, at Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Dongmihsngi, Jowai.
In the final match, Khliehmyntang Ialong defeated Lumpyrtuh Mihmyntdu 2-0.
The game was closely contested in the first half, but Khliehmyntang Ialong broke the deadlock with a goal from Bashanbor Pale in the 42nd minute.
They sealed their victory with another goal by Suni Rymbai in the 90+3rd minute (injury time).
However, despite all the efforts from Lumpyrtuh Mihmyntdu to bounce back, they were unable to score any goal, and the match ended 2-0, crowning Khliehmyntang Ialong as the champions for this year.
