Minor ‘ganraped’ in Ranchi, 5 arrested
RANCHI, Oct 13: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by nine people in Ratu area of Ranchi, police said on Monday.Five people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the crime that took place on Sunday night, they said.“The police conducted raids at multiple locations on Monday and arrested five of the accused. The girl’s medical examination has also been conducted,” a senior official said.Search is underway to nab the other four accused.An FIR has been lodged under various sections of the POCSO Act. (PTI)
Five Africans held for alleged illegal stay
NEW DELHI, Oct 13: Police have detained six African nationals for allegedly residing illegally in Delhi, an official said on Monday.A patrol team apprehended them on October 10 in Chander Vihar area of outer Delhi following a tip-off about their illegal stay.The team reached the house where the foreigners were staying. “On sensing the police presence, they tried to flee, but were apprehended immediately,” the officer added.The six people were identified as Frank Fotching, Romeo Lucien of Cameroon, Samunel, Malk Faraday and Innousa of Nigeria, and Evans Danso of Ghana.During verification, they failed to produce valid travel documents and admitted their visas had expired, the police said.The team is coordinating with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office to initiate legal deportation proceedings. YouTuber and teenage son arrested for raping minor
BARASAT/KOLKATA, Oct 13: A popular YouTuber and his teenage son were arrested for allegedly raping a girl in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district.YouTuber Arabinda Mandal, who has millions of followers, was arrested along with his teenage son on Sunday for allegedly raping the 15-year-old girl, who had been assisting them in making reels for the past several months.The duo were arrested after the girl’s parents filed a complaint alleging that Mandal and his son had filmed their daughter secretly when she was changing and then started blackmailing her.The duo were threatening to release the video and allegedly raped her in their house, located near the residence of the girl.The girl’s family, which had not suspected Arabinda (42) and trusted her, came to know about the sexual torture and atrocities committed on her when she broke down two days back and narrated her ordeal.(PTI)
